Try some of these tasty recipes for holiday treats - free of most allergens. If you have a favorite recipe, please share them with us so we can add them for next year!
Chocolate Chip Cookies:
1 cup dairy-free margarine, at room temperature
1 ¼ cup sugar
1 Tbsp molasses
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 ½ cups flour (rice or oat flour, or rolled oats if wheat allergy present)
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 ½ cups dairy and peanut-free semi-sweet chocolate chips*
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together margarine and sugar until fluffy. Add the molasses and vanilla. Add the flour, baking soda and salt, mix well. Fold in the chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls spaced a little over 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 8-10 minutes until slightly browned. Let cool on a baking sheet for 5 min. and enjoy!

Applesauce Cake
2 cups sugar
2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 ½ tsp. Baking soda
1 tsp. Allspice
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1 tsp. Nutmeg
2 cups applesauce
¼ tsp salt
½ cup hot water
2 ½ cups flour
1 cup raisins
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine shortening and sugar until creamy. Stir in cocoa powder, baking soda, spices, applesauce and salt. Stir in flour, then raisins. Pour into greased pan and bake 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Brown Sugar Cookies
1 cup shortening
2 cups light brown sugar, firmly packed
3 Tbsp water, 3 Tbsp oil, 2 tsp baking powder (mixed together for egg replacer)
½ cup soy or rice milk
1 tsp. Apple cider vinegar
3 ½ cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
Cream together shortening, brown sugar, and baking powder mixture. Set aside. In a small cup, combine soy/rice milk with vinegar. Stir into shortening mixture. Stir in remaining ingredients. Mix until well combined. Gather dough, wrap in plastic, and chill 1 hour. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheets and bake 8-10 minutes, or until lightly browned. Frost with your favorite frosting (powdered sugar with water and food coloring works well for Christmas cookies).
Cinnamon Graham Cracker Cookies
2 cups crushed graham crackers
1 ½ cups flour
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup milk-free margarine, softened
1 ¼ cups light brown sugar, firmly packed
¼ cup sugar
3 Tbsp water, 3 Tbsp oil, 2 tsp baking powder (mixed together for egg replacer)
1 tsp vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Stir together graham cracker crumbs, four, cinnamon, baking soda and salt; set aside. Beat margarine and sugars until creamy. Beat in water, oil and baking powder mixture. Stir in vanilla extract. Stir in four mixture. Drop dough by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake about 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.
